Teachers will see real, long-term benefits by getting involved. Taking part in PExpo is an effective way to get pupils inspired about the vital aspects of physical education, to reinforce the scientific principles of PE, and to showcase your school. 

        When you arrive at Sport Ireland you must register at the Teacher Reception Desk. Here, you will receive your welcome pack. Tea and coffee will be served throughout the day in a designated teachers’ area. You will receive complimentary lunch. If you, as the participating teacher, are not attending for any reason and need to send a substitute supervisor or parent in your place, please confirm this in writing by your school.

The following advice is given to ensure that the students you accompany to the Expo are your primary focus and that they feel a strong sense of support and security.

​

1.      Adults should set good examples and serve as role models not only for students that they accompany but for all young people at the Expo.

2.      Adults should know where their students are at all times and students should know where their teacher/parent is at all times.

3.      Adults should oversee project set-up and be available to assist students with any complications that may arise.

4.      It is important that an adult should be available to cover or to arrange for cover for students, especially those entered in the Individual section. All students should be given breaks from their stands
